Privacy Policy

TokVanta is a website that checks a TikTok link and requests public information from TikTok. This policy describes the data that request involves.

What You Submit

The link you paste is sent to this site's server so it can be validated and, if it is a supported public TikTok URL, requested from TikTok. The link is not written to a database.

Short-Lived Processing

The server may remember a public lookup in memory for a few minutes so the same file can be saved without asking TikTok to repeat the page read. It also counts requests by IP address. Saved files are sent to your browser and are not kept on this server.

What TikTok Receives

A supported link is requested from TikTok so the public post can be read. Short links are followed only while they stay on TikTok. TikTok's own privacy policy applies to that request.

Backup Lookup

When TikTok holds back its post page, the server asks the public tikwm.com API for the same post instead. Only the TikTok link is sent; your IP address is not. The video, sound and photos still download from TikTok's own servers.

Recent Links on Your Device

The “Recent on this device” list under the download box keeps up to five links, titles and creator names in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device, and the Clear button removes it.
